How to add and claim your Bing business listing.
Everybody focuses on Google and often forgets about Bing. While Bing is not the largest search engine, it currently boasts around 12 billion searches per month. Not having your business on Bing, is missing out on a lot of opportunity. Here are the simple steps to adding and claiming your business on Bing.
1. Go to Bing Places For Business and Click New User.
The first step is to go to Bing Places For Business. If you already have an account, than you can click Existing user. Chances are you will need to create an account, in this case you will click New User.
2. Choose to import from GMB or enter Manually.
If you already have your business verified on Google My Business, then you can import your listing from Google My Business. You can learn how to setup your Google My Business account here. If you want to continue setting up your listing through Bing, then click Claim or add your business manually.
3. Search for your business.
Search for your business by entering Size, Country/region and then either your phone number or Business Name and Location. Click on Search once you have entered your information. Bing will then search for your specific business listing.
4. Select your business.
Chances are that Bing already has your business listed; if this is so, then click on Claim and edit details underneath your listing. If your business is not on the list, then click on My business is not in the search results at the bottom of the page.
5. Log-in or Sign-up to Bing places for business.
Next you will be prompted to either Sign-up or sign-in to Bing places for business.
6. Enter and Edit the basic details starting with Name, Address, and Website.

7. Enter Category Information and Business Description.

8. Enter your Service areas.
This is important because Bing will show your business listing to people searching in these specific areas. If you deliver goods or services to customer press yes, if not then press no.
9. Enter contact information.
Enter all of your contact information here and be sure to link your business listing to any social or other site that you may have a profile. You should have a profile on as many as possible.
10. Add photos to your business listing.
People are more likely to trust a business listing that has photos. Post photos in and outside of your business. Since most searches for businesses are for directions, be sure to include a photo that shows the front of your business in order to help them find it.
11. Enter your working hours and special hours.
Many searches for your business will be for your working hours. If customers can’t find them and show-up at a time when you are closed… that equals an unhappy pre-customer.
12. Verify your business.
Verify your business by phone, email, or by post. Once you verify ownership, you will be able to make quick edits and track your listings performance.
